Issue Position

Kentuckians know where I stand because they know where I've stood. As a legislator, I was proud to stand with teachers and public employees. As a Senator, I will fight alongside you.

As a legislator, I:

--co-sponsored a bill to repeal the legislation that allowed charter schools;
--co-sponsored a bill to expand comprehensive education;
--supported legislation to expand NTI days due to the pandemic
--voted against the budget because it excluded teacher raises
--voted to protect pensions
--voted to support SBDMs
--was a vocal opponent of scholarship tax credits
As your United States Senator, I will support the repeal of the Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP), and the Government Pension Offset (GPO). Every Kentuckian that pays into social security should be able to draw those benefits.
